Title: Introduction and accuracy assessment of Nicolab’s StrokeViewer in a developing stroke thrombectomy UK service. a service development/improvement project.

The numbers dont lie. In this study, patients in a quaternary stroke center at NHS Lothian, demonstrated the potential of StrokeViewer to enhance stroke diagnosis. The results are promising, showing high sensitivity (93%) and specificity (94%) for large vessel occlusions.  Data were collected over two separate three-month periods to compare the accuracy of StrokeViewer in detecting large vessel occlusion against a junior registrar. In the first period, 37 cases were identified, while 47 cases were recorded in the second. The results showed similar sensitivity and specificity between the AI software and the junior registrar, with values aligning closely with advertised figures. Additionally, the second phase of the audit demonstrated an improvement in the rate of technical failures.
