Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Charlie holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accountancy and Business Law.
Renan Sales Barros
Chief Technology Officer & Co‑founder
Renan is a Brazilian computer scientist with a background in biomedical engineering. He moved to the Netherlands in 2013 to investigate high-performance computing in stroke at the Amsterdam Medical Center.
Honored with the Best Computer Scientist Graduate Award for high grades, he introduced deep learning models to the research group and published multiple articles on the topic.
Renan runs the development team, where his problem-solving attitude and expertise help tackle the team’s challenges not as obstacles but just as puzzles to be solved.

Kate is an English health tech business developer who moved to the Netherlands to study neuroscience and computational linguistics before transitioning to a commercial role building start-ups.
Driven by her trust in technology as a way to solve problems, Kate joined Nicolab in 2018 as CCO, but now transitions to COO to lead the new Customer Success Dept, Internal Operations, along with People & Culture.
She worked on five healthcare startups focusing on neuroscience applications, raising over one million euros for a previous startup.

Hans is a MedTech healthcare entrepreneur with a clinical background as an anesthetist nurse and a strong experience in critical care technologies over the past 27 years.
Moving among different areas of emergency care, Hans has been part of several start-ups with OR&ICU revolutionary technologies that have impacted healthcare.
With his experience in setting up direct and distributor sales organizations around the globe, Hans has managed to get new technologies adopted and become a standard of care in several medical applications.
